Graphic Design school was truly the best thing to experience. I learned a lot and loved every class I took. Here are some of my favorite projects.
Currently, at Felsburg Holt & Ullevig (FHU), as part of the graphics group, I aid the project managers and marketing team in the pursuit of projects. The cover shown here was created for a proposal that was submitted to the City of Des Moines, Iowa.
The covers are just a portion of the proposal process, there is often an organizational chart, schedule, dividers, along with any other graphics deemed necessary to help convey the message that FHU is the best choice for the project being pursued.
While Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro have become my favorites, InDesign (formerly known as Page Maker) was one of my favorite classes because it took me back to where ‘it’ all began.
Growing up, my Mother and my Aunt worked together at the local newspaper and as I got older, I did too. In high school, I took photos and helped sell advertisement space. I got to see first hand, and help piece together the newspaper, prepare it for print, place the address stickers, and organize the printed newspapers into bundles for the post office.
I had no idea that my time at the newspaper office would help me along my path to becoming a graphic designer.
